The park offers 40 acres of urban, mixed hardwood forest on a hilly site, boggy wetland, and 1/4 mile of undeveloped lake shore. Enjoy 3 miles of graveled trails and a fishing dock on the lake shore.


This park is a part othe Great Wisconsin Birding and Nature Trail. Birding enthusiasts have been known to spot  the Golden-winged, Northern Parula, Magnolia, Blackburnian and Mourning Warblers, Evening Grosbeaks, Red-eyed and Blue-headed Vireos, and Brown Creepers in the forest. On the lake, 1 can find Common Loons, Bald Eagles, Osprey and a variety of ducks and herons.


The park is located on the northern edge of Amery, on the west side of Hwy. 46. Paved parking and well-maintained trails.

Facility Reservations

To make a reservation for the York Park Picnic area, select it below. 
Reservations are $20/day.

*If it is your first time reserving a facility through the City of Amery website, a log-in window will pop up when you attempt to reserve a RV site. Select "create profile" and fill in your basic information. Once this has been completed, you will be able to reserve any available City facility, and your information should automatically generate in the reservation form.
