Please read the following information carefully, complete form and actions indicated, and print a copy of the completed form to serve as record of your burning permit.

-Complete burning permit form for the City of Amery and the Towns of Lincoln, Black Brook and Alden. The form will be filed with the appropriate municipality.
- A burning permit is NOT required for outdoor cooking over a fire contained in a device or structure designed for such use or in a recreational burning pit lined with incombustible material provided that they are located at least twenty-five (25) feet from any structure or property line.
-The burning of leaves is strictly prohibited within the City of Amery. Amery City residents may take their leaves to the Amery City Landfill to be disposed.
-The pile of material being burned shall be at least fifty (50) feet away from any structure, wood or lumber pile, wooden fence, trees, or bushes.
-Open burning permits shall NOT be used to burn plastic, construction debris, or other hazardous materials.
-No burning in streets or alleys.
-Open burning shall be constantly attended and supervised by a competent person of at least sixteen (16) years of age until such fire is extinguished. This person shall have readily available for use such fire extinguishing equipment as may be necessary for the total control of the fire while burning and extinguishing said fire.
