Alert Polk County Emergency Notification System

Polk County has a new emergency notification system! We encourage you to sign up and create an account for Alert Polk County.  We no longer use Code Red, so if formerly had an account you will need to register on Everbridge. 

Polk County encourages everyone to sign up to receive emergency alert notifications that require immediate action or awareness (such as emergency evacuations, missing children or vulnerable adults, or boil water alerts). If you want these free notifications sent to your cell phone, VoIP phone, or email account you must register on the Alert Polk County website for Polk County.  

If you list a cell phone number and email, you will be notified even if you're not at home.  If you have a cabin or business this is a great way to stay informed at all times.     

We also have a mobile app! Bonus, in addition to getting Polk County alerts, many other places around the US also use Everbridge. If the area you're travelling in is covered the mobile app can alert you of situations without additional sign-ups.  The app is called Public Safety App and you can find it in the apple and android app stores. Allow location access and it will find Polk County, or search Polk County WI for local notifications. You will see the County logo by our name.
